Victory 44
The missus and I stopped into Victory 44 today, and learned that some of the key chefs are moving to a new place in Robbinsdale. How bout that, eh? Hopefully the new Chefs keep out the insanely high quality Victory 44 has been known for.
Apparently the place is going to be named Trevail, and is going to be right next door to Thistles in Robbinsdale. They plan to have an open kitchen and sell market goods. Presumably, they will continue to offer the awesome charcuterie they have become known for.
Maybe they want to be closer to Surly?
Wow! This thing has been up less then 24 hours and you are already all over it like a fly on shit. Kick ass! You should bring me some Walbearn.

I am glad I found your blog, I will return.
I was in Victory 44 Last Saturday and tried the new menu. The food was AMAZING! Chef Erick has written the menu for the restaurant since it opened so I don’t think it will be a loss with the other cooks leaving.
I will buy that! The missus and I were big fans of the joint prior to the change. The new summer menu looks pretty tasty, I might add.
We will still be eating at Victory 44.
I did not know that Chef Erick continued to write the menu while James and Mike were there. I do know that on busy weekend nights he was the guy behind the line putting out outstanding food while the other Chefs waited tables.
Are you talking about the former Talula’s space?
Thistles closed, and is currently in a “Soft Opening” of an Italian place. (It is decent, but not a destination, and at their price point, they’re not going to last long.)
The Thistles location would be better – it is a fantastic space with a great patio. Every restaurant that has been in there has lacked in food consistency.
I’d be THRILLED if they opened something in the Talula’s space. It is begging for something better – and Robbinsdale deserves it!
